I provide one-on-one Coaching and Support for Early Years Professionals to help them develop their skills and improve practice in their settings.

Coaching increases the confidence and capabilities of the EYP which then leads to a direct improvement in the effectiveness of the setting. It also ensures that improvements are sustainable as the EYP is then able to use their enhanced skills to embed good practice in the setting.

The scope of coaching can include areas such as reflective practice, designing training courses and supporting other staff.

Typically I will meet with with the nursery manager/owner and the EYP to agree the key areas of support needed and how we will work together.

Sometimes coaching takes the form of monthly meetings to review progress and set “gap tasks”. At other times this may be a one-off event to cover a specific need (for example, supporting an EYP giving a presentation to parents).
